In order to spread and facilitate the practice of urban agriculture, Favo Tecnologia, a company that developed an irrigation and sensing device for urban gardens was created. This work presents the development of an electronic board compatible with the company's existing technology, and the concept of a new product using this board, an internet-connected vase powered by solar energy through OPV film technology. This vase allows the user to have remote control of the irrigation of his/her plant and to monitor ambient data provided by the temperature, humidity and luminosity sensors through the Favo smartphone application. This document discusses the decisions made in the process of designing the product and technology, as well as the problems encountered, and the results obtained ending with proposals for improvements so that the developed prototype becomes a commercial product. |
