Resumo: Several studies have been conducted regarding the organic photovoltaic devices. These devices feature a variety of applications, being the main one the solar cells and OLEDs. One of the challenges associated with the commercial scale production of such devices involves the materials used as electrodes. The ITO (Indium doped Tin oxide) is used as a transparent electrode, indispensable for the functioning of OLEDs and solar cells. However, the oxide is deposited on the glass, which causes the electrode is rigid and the Indium is a substance of high added value and difficult to obtain. Thus, studies on the synthesis and characterization of new materials with electrical conductivity, flexibility and transparency are an important area of applied research. In this way, this work had the objective of chemical synthesis and characterization of zinc oxide nanostructures immobilized on a polymeric matrix. During the development of the study it was obtained various information about the applied technique, pioneer in the laboratory where the work was developed, in addition to PVA films well homogeneous.
