Resumo: This paper proposes a qualitative research, through a study case, about the communication of decisions taken by those responsible for the interaction design from the Human-Computer Interaction area to those responsible for the architectural/functional from the Software Engineering area. The perceptions of the participants, relation between MoLIC and UML artifacts as well as the discussion on the relations between the Human-Computer Interaction and Software Engineering areas integrate the aims of this study. A process model was proposed for the study case, in wich two participants produced an interaction design based on a proposed problem scenario and the other two produced an architectural/functional design based on the designs of previous participants. The results confirmed the quality of the use of MoLIC for communicating design decisions, but also presented some issues concerning the MoLIC to UML mapping and the inadequacy of addressing the integration of the two field by defining a process model only.
