Huge pathological factors and tragedies, like building collapses, happens frequently in civil construction. It's fundamental know the reinforcement corrosion mechanisms as a way to prevent or correct its manifestations. In this conclusion course work was elaborated a brief bibliographic review over reinforcement corrosion in armed concrete with the objective to describe its behavior. Then, was elaborated a preventive manual aiming to help identify these pathologies in initial state. After the elaboration of the manual, was made a case study in which will be verified its utmost importance.
