Resumo: The concretes are evaluated in terms of its resistance to compression. However, this assay may provide dispersion results. Among the factors that can cause these quoted dispersions are: flatness, parallelism and perpendicularity of the bases relative to the axis of the sample, which are the focus of this paper. This research presents a comparative grinding machines for cylindrical specimens of concrete and different mechanisms of thinning. Equipment of five (05) laboratories in Curitiba and metropolitan region were evaluated. For the experiment, the concretes were prepared, molded, compacted and cured under the same conditions of a total of 120 specimens, then divided into 03 (three) classes of resistance, were randomly identified and sent to the laboratories where roughing was done on them. After completion of the axial compression test, the results were compared statistically.
