The action of the weather is inevitably linked to construction. All works, completed or in progress suffer from heat, cold, rain and wind. Low temperatures are common and unavoidable in several cities in Brazil and the world. In this conclusive work, a situation of cold between -5 °C and 0 °C was simulated and was exposed to this condition a material widely used in construction: concrete. It was proved that the action of cold directly influences the strength of concrete, confirming what was found in the literature, where quotes are warning about not to apply the concrete when temperatures are below 0ºC. |
