This research presents a theoretical and practical approach of creating an "artist's book" in metal engraving. It explores the concepts of identity and non-place, considering that there is a crisis of identity in the contemporary world and that the subject is fragmented and decentered, and non-place as a category of space of postmodernity . It also sought to clarify the term "artist's book", describing the book as a vehicle of expression that can be explored as an art form and as a space for art. That said, the results were surrounding the building of an artist book using polychrome etching and dry-point. |
