Resumo: This paper presents the assembly and performance study of a didactic DC drive benchtop for the study of load simulator behavior. Also discusses concepts of semiconductors, motors and generators for speed control of induction motors. Data collection is displayed for mounting graphics with the main variables raised, such as torque, speed, voltage and current. Discusses some advantages and disadvantages compared to the use of this type of drive, and characterization of engine performance when a load is coupled. And as a result of work is demonstrated initiative Mount didactic bench to facilitate understanding of load behavior with speed control in a practical way, and analyzed the equipment of the assembly behavior used, it can be seen that the theoretical contents studied about it is proven in practical tests, according to the results obtained. These results show that the resource used for the simulation was satisfactory, worked as proposed and meets the educational needs.
