Resumo: The global market is very demanding and competitive, especially in relation to quality. For the supply of a good product, the big companies seek to have processes capable of guaranteeing the needs of their customers, better control of the production and safety in the operation of the systems. For this increasingly processes are being automated. The present work deals with the automation of a hydraulic press that makes a cut in the panel of a certain automobile for the fixation of a cellular door. The electrical, control, safety and automation systems will be the study focus of this work. The mechanical drive systems (hydraulic and pneumatic) and structural were developed by the client and will be approached superficially. As main requirements, it was requested to have a robust control system, easy operation and safe operation. To meet these requirements, a Siemens S7-1200 CPU 1212 PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) was chosen to control the entire system. A Siemens Machine Interface (MMI) was chosen for operation. For the security system, sensors with RFID (Radio-Frequency IDentification) and light beam barrier to comply with the NR12 standard.
