One of the biggest concerns for businesses today is related to the issue of monitoring of resources used by it. The environment of industrial automation has experienced a great technological change in recent years, from an isolated environment to a fully integrated environment and shared with other enterprise systems. The integration and especially the monitoring of all industrial systems has become critical for any organization. Thus, was identified in the company Renault of Brazil the need for monitoring of water meters through a supervisory system, adding modules, and intelligent as programmable logic controllers (PLC). Thus, it was proposed and implemented an integration model based on modules developed managers from a monitoring and control software. Each module was designed with sufficient interfaces to allow integration of equipment from different manufacturers. Communication between the various modules is accomplished using the technology OLE for Process Control (OPC), which enables data exchange between managers in real time and openly. The integration between managers and their equipment is made by means of programmable logic controllers. Human-machine interfaces have been developed toallow users to insert and monitor water meters for the entire plant. |
