Resumo: Facing the large and fast growing in microbreweries sector, this market has significant competitiveness. The need to please customers and create loyalty with them, in face of the numerous options market, becomes a challenge. And to accomplish that challenge, the development of different products and optimization of processes become essential. These actions, guided by the principle of managing with quality, end up by reducing costs and improving the overall performance of the process and the product, as a result. In order to develop quality products, monitoring this throughout of their life cycle is essential. Therefore, the analysis of the failure risks in the manufacturing process or project emerges as a differentiator for companies. It was used to analyze possible failures and their effects on the production of a microbrewery process in Curitiba - PR, the FMEA tool (Analysis of Failure Modes and Effect). The method presented itself as satisfactory in promoting the analysis of the most fragile component in the production process. Attention has to be payed on the quality of supplies used in the brewing process, since it appears to be the greatest failure potential. The automation of the process is presented as a great advantage, minimizing the sensitivity of the tool to the modes of possible failures. From the results it is possible to predict possible failures and implement preventive solutions, which implies greater production efficiency and ensures greater reliability to the process.
