The need for quality assurance has influenced in various ways productive sectors of several areas of activity. This work discusses the application of the PDCA method and the quality tools in a production line of an electronics industry. The problem to be solved is the high rate of assembled electronic boards that fail, causing rework and waste of raw materials. In order to reduce the defective circuit boards, the application of PDCA with the aid of some quality tools was proposed. For this reason, an action plan to mitigate the potential causes of the problem was developed, which has significantly reduced the number of defective circuit boards, boosting productivity and encouraging continuous improvement of processes. |
