Resumo: The “collective buying” emerged in 19th century, at purchase cooperatives and clubs of buying in England, reaching more attractive prices because of the high quantity purchased. Recently, some people realized the opportunity to upgrade the business model using the Internet. That tool allows to gather geographically distant people interested in purchase something. The main objective of this project was the development of an information system able to provide the registry of companies, services/products offers and clients, in order to achieve quantity-based discounts. The system enables the “group buying” and upgrades some of the actual markets standards, ensuring more speed and commodity in the process. In particular, the proposed system brings three outstanding improvements that are the coupon instant availability, the access to the coupon using mobile phones, avoiding the print of the same and the online management of the coupons by the partner company, preventing frauds. This project was developed using the most important knowledges acquired over the course, including the “collective buying” concept, software engineering, client-server architecture, mobile phone technology and web development technologies.
