The purpose of this project is to develop, for use by public safety government bodies and institutions, a support tool to aid in criminal investigations and, therefore, in the fight against crime. Police investigations incur a large amount of information deriving from multiple sources. In order to mitigate the lack of efficiency in the information gathering process, a web UI software was developed. It will store in its database information related to ongoing criminal investigations in order to provide support to agents assigned to such investigations. The application provides a better understanding of the knowledge base, improving productivity and allowing for timely and more efficient decision making processes. |
