Resumo: With the current pursuit of energy efficiency by the industries and residences, the search for new systems with higher performance, and also ways to reduce losses in the current ones. The elevators are one of the most significant loads in buildings, and reusing the energy spent in braking represents a great step for those seeking more efficient systems. Through this work, we sought to provide a more complete technical literature as possible, modeling the system and presenting equations that help in measuring the components and in the choosing the equipment that makes regenerative braking efficient. We also developed the mounting of an experimental model of an elevator with regenerative braking, which is dimensioned according to the modeling and the equation described in this work.
