The region of São José dos Pinhais, which is the focus of this work also has very good irradiation indexes. The purpose of this work is to show how Brazil, even in areas apparently not considered very eficiente by the lay public in photovoltaic power generation, have high rates of photovoltaic power generation. For change this image with general population in Brazil is important to start Investments from public policies to Encourage the general population to invest in photovoltaics. Through this study it was concluded that the project considering the ideal conditions by the photovoltaic map of Paraná and also when we considered the actual conditions of the project obtained a positive financial return, even when compared to application in saving the investment in photovoltaics system was considered more profitable. This information can be seen in more detail in the text that demonstrates how the photovoltaic system is indeed a good financial investment as well as contributing to sustainable development. O potencial fotovoltaico do Brasil é muito alto quando comparado a países como Alemanha que possuem valores altos de investimentos em sistemas fotovoltaicos. Mesmo o estado do Paraná que é um estado considerado de baixo potencial quando comparado com o restante do Brasil apresenta valores muito superiores aos da Alemanha. A região do Município de São José dos Pinhais, que é o foco deste trabalho também apresenta índices de irradiação considerável. O intuito deste trabalho é mostrar como o Brasil, mesmo nas regiões aparentemente não consideradas muito eficientes na geração de energia fotovoltaica pelo público leigo, apresentam altos índices de geração de energia fotovoltaica. Para que esta percepção que a população em geral possui seja passível de mudança, no Brasil é importante que se iniciem investimentos a partir de políticas públicas para que incentivem a população em geral a realizar investimentos em energia fotovoltaica. Através desse trabalho foi possível concluir que o projeto considerando as condições ideais através do mapa fotovoltaico do Estado do Paraná e também quando foram consideradas as condições reais de projeto obteve-se um retorno financeiro positivo, até mesmo quando comparado com a aplicação na poupança, o investimento no sistema fotovoltaico foi considerado mais rentável.
