Resumo: The simulation program for power flow by Newton-Raphson method (Simpot) was developed with the aim of helping professors and students of Power Systems I Course of Electrical Engineering. The program has a user-friendly graphical interface, it uses the Newton-Raphson method to solve the problems of load flow. In addition, it has a platform Simpot programming general public license. The results of simulations of power systems obtained with program Simpot were similar of results obtained of the Anarede software, which is used by utilities and also the National Operator System (ONS). In order to assist the users, it was written the manual of the Simpot program, which provides guidance on all the tools available and also about its own use in a simulation.
