This article is the result of a qualitative study based on the intention of studying the influence of Greek Mathematics on the understandings that are historically woven around mathematical deductions, which emerge in Greek society and present a tone of historical representativeness. We don’t intend, with this, to work the analyzes through isolated facts nor to understand the actions that occurred within the Greek community as if suddenly. For this reason, we employ a descriptive approach, given that researchers in the area expose their ideas through historical and philosophical descriptions, explaining the appearance of this discursive operation in mathematics. We take the issue of the origin of deductive mathematics as a guide for investigations, understanding that by dedicating ourselves to its understanding we’re approaching the path trodden by its patrons, the ancient Greeks close to the 6th century BC. C. In this way, we didn’t choose a research question, through which we could guide ourselves during the study. |
