We don’t intend, with this, to work the analyzes through isolated facts nor to understand the actions that occurred within the Greek community as if suddenly. For this reason, we employ a descriptive approach, given that researchers in the area expose their ideas through historical and philosophical descriptions, explaining the appearance of this discursive operation in mathematics. We take the issue of the origin of deductive mathematics as a guide for investigations, understanding that by dedicating ourselves to its understanding we’re approaching the path trodden by its patrons, the ancient Greeks close to the 6th century BC. C. In this way, we didn’t choose a research question, through which we could guide ourselves during the study. Este artigo é resultado de uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo firmada na intenção de estudar a influência da matemática Grega para os entendimentos que se tecem historicamente acerca das deduções matemáticas, as quais emergem na sociedade grega e apresentam tônus de representatividade histórica. Não pretendemos, com isso, trabalhar as análises através de fatos isolados e nem compreender as ações ocorridas no seio da comunidade grega como que de súbito. Por esse motivo, empregamos uma abordagem descritiva, haja vista pesquisadores da área expõem suas ideias por meio de descrições históricas e filosóficas, explicando o aparecimento dessa operação discursiva em matemática. Tomamos a questão da origem da matemática dedutiva como um norte para as investigações, entendendo que ao nos dedicarmos em sua compreensão estamos nos aproximando do caminho trilhado pelos seus patronos, os antigos gregos próximos do século VI a. C. Desse modo, não elegemos uma interrogação de pesquisa, mediante a qual poderíamos nos orientar durante o estudo.
