In Brazil pop corn consumption reaches 70 thousand tons por year. It has become a part of Brazilian culture and food habit. In the meantime, customers are looking for more diverse and healthier food products which can be easily obtained. From this context the idea of developing a flavoured pop corn vending machine was born. The main goal of this paper is to design and build a minimum viable business product (MVBP) of this machine thus validating its market potential. A wide theoretical foundation is built about the corn, the vending machines and the cientific and technical knowledge required to make this project. The methodoly adopted for this project is the Scrum. It was choosen because it is an agile and customizable framework. Before starting the project, one business model is elaborated having the vending machine as its main product. This study is completely focused on the client and tries to define clearly the target market for the recently created company: Pipoca Pop. The machine is designed by determining its devices, its mechanisms, its structure, its electrical project and its automation system. At last, as initially proposed, a prototype following the idea of a MVBP is built. It is tested and the initial idea is validated before its potential clients. |
