Resumo: The courtyard is an important space within the school environment for the development of children. Using it functionally through landscaping is a great alternative. The aim of this paper is to elaborate the landscape project of the Municipal Center of Early Childhood Education (CMEI) São Francisco de Assis in the municipality of Dois Vizinhos, Paraná. For this purpose, on-site visits were carried out to survey the necessary metric measurements for project design and later the data were processed in AutoCAD 2D software for floor plan formulation. A drawing workshop was also held with students from Jardim II to capture their perception of school landscaping, the drawings were analyzed according to the methodology proposed by Sauvé (2005). The workshop was efficient in capturing the perception of the target audience, helping in the construction of the landscape project, where the drawings can be classified into six environmental categories: Nature, Place where they live, Community project, Biosphere, Resource, Problem . The landscape project encompassed the school garden (sensory mandala, butterfly bed, composer, etc.) and the main façade with different flowers.
