The textbook is among the most used courseware by primary school teachers. Through it, the teacher guides for developing lessons and other pedagogical practices, serving also as a manual for the students, guiding them into the discipline, facilitating their understanding forward the issues discussed by the teacher. Thinking of it, the study aimed to analyse the high school textbooks of a private school and a public school in the city of Dois Vizinhos/ PR. This research aimed to analyse only a few contents of Genetics and Ecology in the books, from both schools, linking them with the reference array of the National High School Exam - ENEM 2014 by checking so if they were or not in agreement with the framework provided by the Ministry of Education - MEC. It was part of the research as well, the application of a questionnaire about the exam of ENEM 2014 to students from the third year of high school who were examined, and the application of a questionnaire about the curricular matrix, too the biology teachers. With the results obtained in this research, it is clear that there is a deficiency regarding the approach and exploration of themes presented into the matrix of ENEM in biology books analysed from both schools. In addition, many teachers think that this matrix is important, however most of them do not disclose the existence of it to their students, and so, most students do not know about the array, and have reported not having studied all the contents approached in the exam of ENEM 2014 in the classroom. |
