Resumo: The Teaching of Sciences has a great importance, being this teaching characterized by introduce knowledge that collaborates greatly for the understanding world understanding and also for the identify of the man as part of it. In addition, Science Teaching also includes a role of formation and sensitization, by means of teaching of new knowledge and reflection. So that this information to be transposed, it must be made interesting to the eyes of the students. So, the objective of this work was to awakening interest in Environmental Education through the elaboration of a spelling book, using this as a teaching tool for students of the 6th Elementary School. For elaboration the didactic material, a previous research was necessary with teachers of Sciences of the municipality of Dois Vizinhos-Paraná, to produce a useful material and that met the main needs of the teachers, this research was efficient to find a relevant subject for the production of the material. After the preparation of the booklets, they were applied with a group of 6º of the municipality of Dois Vizinhos. In this way the use of the spelling book aimed to insert the Environmental Education in a more attractive way for the students and and contribute to some teachers' needs.
