In addition, Science Teaching also includes a role of formation and sensitization, by means of teaching of new knowledge and reflection. So that this information to be transposed, it must be made interesting to the eyes of the students. So, the objective of this work was to awakening interest in Environmental Education through the elaboration of a spelling book, using this as a teaching tool for students of the 6th Elementary School. For elaboration the didactic material, a previous research was necessary with teachers of Sciences of the municipality of Dois Vizinhos-Paraná, to produce a useful material and that met the main needs of the teachers, this research was efficient to find a relevant subject for the production of the material. After the preparation of the booklets, they were applied with a group of 6º of the municipality of Dois Vizinhos. In this way the use of the spelling book aimed to insert the Environmental Education in a more attractive way for the students and and contribute to some teachers' needs. O Ensino de Ciências possui uma grande importância, sendo este ensino caracterizado por apresentar conhecimentos que colaboram grandemente para a compreensão do mundo e também para o reconhecimento do homem como parte do mesmo. Além disso, o Ensino de Ciências também compreende um papel de formação e sensibilização, por meio do ensinamento de novos saberes e da reflexão. Para que estas informações sejam transpostas, é necessário que as mesmas se tornem interessantes aos olhos dos estudantes. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi despertar o interesse pela Educação Ambiental através da elaboração de uma cartilha, utilizando esta como ferramenta de ensino para estudantes do 6º do Ensino Fundamental. Para elaboração do material didático, tornou-se necessário uma pesquisa prévia com professores de Ciências do município de Dois Vizinhos, Paraná, a fim de produzir um material útil e que atendesse as principais necessidades dos professores, tal pesquisa foi eficiente para deparar um tema relevante para a produção do material. Após a confecção das cartilhas, as mesmas foram aplicadas com uma turma de 6º do município de Dois Vizinhos.
