The deaf student education has always faced many barriers, both for parents, teachers and also for the hearing impaired students themselves. Only with the dedication of everyone involved in this process, such challenges can be reduced. The use of technologies that help on the teaching and learning process of deaf students has been shown as a good alternative. Thus, the present dissertation aimed at developing a computational resource in Scratch programming language in order to contribute to a deaf student from a state school from Francisco Beltrão, Parana State, in her Portuguese language learning process. Despite the Scratch has some limitations regarding to videos use, it proved to be promising for the development of resources that can help on the education of deaf children. The tool which has been built for this project enabled the teaching of Portuguese language for a deaf student, however it has to be highlighted that some points could have contributed for a more effective teaching process, such as the use of a more succinct vocabulary. In spite of Scratch limitations and the mistakes made in the development of the resource, it is possible to conclude that the project has contributed to the education and that through more researches it will be possible to create an even better resource, even more effective in teaching process of hearing impaired students. |
