Resumo: The quality of an organization will depend on the degree of satisfaction of its clients in relation to the services rendered, companies that have a thought focused on quality should always innovate and look for tools to differentiate it from the competition, its employees must be excited and satisfied with their functions and with the work environment, so that they work better and grow together with the organization. In this sense, the program chosen to be applied in this company is the 5s, since it did not include any similar tool or methodology, so the employees started to have better working conditions, a cleaner and more organized environment, consequently more productive and favorable continuous improvement. The organization consists of a microenterprise of the sector of parties and events, and the philosophy 5s comes with the objective of improving the services provided, organizing the work environment, satisfying customers and also employees. The purpose of this work was to explore the theory of the 5s program and to carry out its application. At first a rigorous bibliographical survey was necessary to increase knowledge about the program, so as to apply it correctly and with the least probability of failures, subjects such as quality, total quality management and pdca cycle, are closely linked to the 5s proposal and due to this were also studied. As for the chronological ordering of the steps for the implementation of the philosophy, they followed the following sequence: definition of the action plan; meetings to explain the 5s program to employees; photographic records of the company's sectors; survey of items and classification; discard; cleaning; organization; control and standardization. The results achieved were many, even with little time since its application, starting with the visual aspects, followed by optimization of the spaces, aggregate operating efficiency to the sectors, cleanliness, more pleasant environment, standardization of tasks, self-discipline and, finally, a gain in relation to the cultural level of those involved in the project. Now the employees are inserted in a program that has well defined pillars and that need to be obeyed, as the philosophy brings good results for all makes it habitual will not be the most difficult task, in addition to maintaining the program we will instigate everyone for acceptance of other systems of quality management.
