Currently there is an increase in the competitiveness of the market, which has led organizations to look for ways to improve their processes, with a view to optimizing their productivity and reducing their costs. In view of this, seeking to couple all these improvements, traditional process management methods have been replaced and it has been noted the need to connect them with inventory management, since most companies do not study and plan the storage location. Since all companies are processes and most of them have inventories, the implementation of this new management model in this sector is considered viable and of great value. In this context, the present work presented as general objective the application of a process management method in the material storage sector of a food retailing company located in the western region of Paraná. Initially, from the choice of the problematic process, it was possible to know and analyze it to identify the points that had opportunities for improvement and then define actions with this objective, always aiming to optimize them. It was concluded, then, that the application of the method of process management coupled with the use of the curve tool ABC, which uses calculations to classify the products and show the ones that should be prioritized, to assist in the study of the layout can bring many improvements to the organization. |
