A safe factory yard is critical. It is possible that accidents occur due to lack of PPE, or training or even inattention, but the biggest cause of accidents is the failure to install adequate protections on the equipment. To correct such a fault you must follow safety guidelines such as NR-12 (Safety in Machinery and Equipment) and other technical standards. This paper presents a study to suit a guillotine mechanical safety standards, protecting the operator. Magnetic sensors were used in their fixed guards and a light barrier at the back of the machine. The control panel was modified, two safety relays were installed to monitor the sensors. The electrical diagrams were redone with the updating of the components and connections performed. Through the simulation results of the study proposed in laboratory bench, the result would be a machine much less dangerous to the operator. |
