Resumo: Roads and highways have an important role of promoting the displacement and making easier the access to services and commodities. In this category, there are the local roads, which are responsible for the agricultural production outflow and the rural communities’ integration. In places that there are streams, it is needed the construction of bridges to obtain access to the communities. These bridges are made by wood in most of the cases because it is of an easy acquisition material and durable. The project’s goal is to present a survey of some wooden bridges selected in the city of Cunha Porã, Santa Catarina state, identifying the damages present in the structure with the intention of ensuring its operation, allowing free access of vehicles and people, also preserving public property. The method used for the technical inspections were selected by literature review, which were adopted the techniques with the lowest coast possible and easy handling, such as: Visual Inspection Technique, Percussion Technique: sound interpretation with hammer and Shallow Drilling Technique with pecking actions. The survey`s data was collected through photographic collection and registration of information. After the checking, it was identified damages in the structure of the wooden bridges, such as: wood deterioration, moisture stains and attack by insects and others. Finally, it was noted that there is no maintenance on the bridges and the applied methodology was efficient, in the terms that it was stipulated coherent data towards the bridges situation.
