Joining this fact to the already developed studies on the literary space and its importance for understanding the constitution of plot and narrative, this work proposes the partial analysis of the constitution of the space in the graphic novel Sweet Tooth, by Jeff Limere. This study was guided mainly by Thierry Groensteen’s theory and his concept of space-optics, which aims to face the space of the graphic novels as a whole of the elements that constitute the work. And by Ozíris Borges Filho, current theoretician of the prose fiction literary space, his theories on the functions of literary space were very used in this analysis. The work in question, Sweet Tooth, has great prominence in its home country, Canada, however, is still little known in Brazil, despite the nomination to the Eisner Award, award of high importance of the graphic novels genre. From these studies it is possible to perceive the analysis of a graphic novels must take place through all the material that composes it, and not only diegetically. This study confirms the fact of graphic novels as an autonomous and particular language, without the need to be judged as a mixture of languages or derivation from other arts. Após um longo período de tentativas de reconhecimento literário, o século XIX mostrou-se um terreno propício ao estudo dos quadrinhos. Juntando esse fato aos estudos já desenvolvidos sobre o espaço literário e sua importância para compreensão da constituição de enredo e narrativa, este trabalho propõe a análise da constituição do espaço na história em quadrinho Sweet Tooth, de Jeff Limere. Este estudo foi guiado, principalmente, pela teoria de Thierry Groensteen e seu conceito de espaçotopia, que visa encarar o espaço do quadrinho como um todo dos elementos que constituem a obra. E por Ozíris Borges Filho, teórico atual do espaço literário da prosa de ficção, suas teorias sobre as funções do espaço literário foram muito utilizadas nessa análise. A obra em questão, Sweet Tooth, tem grande destaque em seu país de origem, Canadá, porém, é ainda pouco conhecida no Brasil, apesar da indicação ao Eisner Award, prêmio de alta importância do gênero quadrinho. A partir desses estudos é possível perceber a análise de uma narrativa gráfica deve dar-se através de todo o material que a compõe, e não somente diegeticamente.
