This research presents the use of cartoons in the listening practice in English Language teaching of grammar in the elementary teaching context. The study tries to find a way to create students´ motivation and interest in English Language learning, and, through two different teaching practices, it searches for information to discuss students´ learning of the content studied in the classroom. The study used data collection from participants from the eighth grade of a municipal school in Bom Sucesso do Sul, in Paraná state. Data were quantified and analized quantitative and qualitatively. Overall, resuts suggest that the use of cartoons are beneficial to participants´ listening comprehension and motivation. Above all, the research work presents a direction of the oral comprehension activities for the professional who act in the modern foreign language teaching area. |
