In the translation made by Millôr Fernandes, the Pygmalion comes to the language with a new vision, seen as an attempt to resemble the original spirit of contempt for the main character, by the theoretical principles of Marcos Bagno. The work also sought the specificities of the dramatic text and its characteristics in the translation, through the studies of authors as authors, authors and authors. The translation of the dramatic text was made through the choice of three lines of the character Elisa Dolittle in the original text and its translation in the text of Millôr Fernandes. From these lines, it was observed Millôr Fernandes translated a cockney research into the Portuguese Language. Translation studies were also used to support translation analysis as an overview of the dramatic text with studies done by Salvatore D'onófrio. As a result, they were categorized according to the theories that support translation studies and how the process started the translation process of the piece. Thus, we understand that the author translates a work in stages, for example: first the character of Higgins and then the one of Pickering. After using these two characters and understanding the context of the leading speech, Elisa, begins a translation of the speech with a linguistic variant. O objetivo deste trabalho é observar a acentuação cockney presente na peça Pygmalion de George Bernard Shaw como um desafio de tradução para o português brasileiro. Na tradução feita por Millôr Fernandes, Pigmaleão chega ao idioma com uma nova característica que visa uma tentativa de semelhança ao enredo original que é o desprestígio do discurso da personagem principal, pelos princípios teóricos de Marcos Bagno. O presente trabalho também buscou observar as especificidades do texto dramático e suas características na tradução, por intermédio dos estudos teóricos de autores como Susan Bassnett, Anne Ubersfeld e Patrice Pavis que são nomes importantes para os estudos da tradução do teatro. A análise da tradução do texto dramático foi feita por meio da escolha de três falas da personagem Elisa Dolittle no texto original e sua respectiva tradução no texto de Millôr Fernandes. A partir dessas falas, observou-se como Millôr Fernandes traduziu a variação cockney para a Língua Portuguesa. Foram, também, utilizados teóricos dos estudos da tradução para suporte de análise da tradução assim como um panorama sobre o texto dramático com os estudos feitos por Salvatore D’onófrio. As conclusões obtidas foram categorizadas de acordo com as teorias que dão suporte para os estudos da tradução e de como o autor iniciou o processo de tradução da peça. Assim, entendemos que o autor traduz a obra por etapas, por exemplo: primeiro o personagem de Higgins e depois o de Pickering.
