Resumo: This final paper aims to show the intertextual relations in the literary work The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde Wilde, with Works, as: Venice, by Pierre Jules Théophile Gautier, and the tragic characters by William Shakespeare, in Othello, Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet Works. Besides the arts presented, as: pictorial, musical and theatrical art ways. Therefore, it brings the description of a visual work, as an imaged object (picture, photo or figures, in this case, a picture frame). Wilde was an Irish writer who has lived for a long time in England and, particularly, in London, growing accostumed to its habits and its local cultures . The work was published in 1891, in the context of a puritan England, a period of rise and domination of the Bourgeoise. The Picture of Dorian Gray not only brings the pictorial art depicted in literary art, but the author also mentions other literary works such as William Shakespeare‟s, thus, making use of Intertextuality as well as, of detailed environments by means of characters, to look at the reader to images. Therefore by means of the analysis of sequences from the aforementioned work, we will examine the relationship between painting and other arts.
