By understanding the importance that the Indigenous people have in the characterization of what is now considered Brazilian culture, this research aims to constitute a production that helps in the survey of literary aspects of the Indigenous Culture in Brazil, both in cultural terms and in terms of legislation. Understanding the cultural diversity the Indigenous people represent, it is questionable whether there is an indigenous identity that is preserved with so many influences from other cultures in Brazil. In order to Investigate this problem, two books of the indigenous children's literature were selected and some aspects were analyzed about how the culture and the Indigenous people are represented, based on theories of Bergamaschi (2012), Dutra (2013), Hall (2014), Levi-Strauss (1978), among others. The methodology used for the elaboration of this monograph is documentary and qualitative, aiming an investigation in already existing documents. The books chosen for analysis were Karu Taru (2013) and Txopai and Itôhã (2011), both written by indigenous authors. They are satisfactory by giving voice and value the Indigenous protagonism, in this way, it can be realized that the indigenous has been portrayed as in woods and forests, as well as the social imaginary. A cultura brasileira é rica em diversidade, sendo constituída por diversos povos, de várias etnias, línguas, costumes e saberes. Por entender a importância que esses povos têm na caracterização do que hoje se considera a cultura brasileira é que esta pesquisa visa constituir-se uma produção que auxilie no levantamento de aspectos literários da cultura indígena no Brasil, tanto em termos culturais como em termos de legislação. Compreendendo a diversidade cultural que representam, questiona-se se há uma identidade indígena que se mantenha preservada diante de tantas influências de outras culturas no Brasil. Para investigar esse problema, foram selecionadas duas obras da literatura infantojuvenil indígena e analisados alguns aspectos acerca de como a cultura e o indígena são representados nas obras, com base em teorias de Bergamaschi (2012), Dutra (2013), Hall (2014), Levi-Strauss (1978), entre outros A metodologia utilizada para a elaboração desta monografia é documental e qualitativa, visando uma investigação em documentos já existentes.
