Published in 1976, this book is expressive in Brazilian literature for children and young people. A bolsa amarela presents a dynamic narrative focused on the child‘s perspective, Raquel. The narrative develops itself through Raquel‘s wills, which are opposites of her reality. The binary pairs: child-adult, girl-boy and non-writer-writer are the narrative driving forces. According to Vygotsky (1999), in literary works there are always opposite feelings growing up on the same proportion. The opposite feelings develop themselves until the culmination, when they fuse in a short circuit, reaching the art aesthetic effect: catharsis. In narratives, according to Vygotsky (1999), there are two basic mechanisms: the ―fable‖, that consists in facts from reality, and ―plot‖, the organization of the ―fable‖ in the narrative. Therefore, this analysis intends to understand the mechanics used by the narrator to cause the aesthetic effect in the reader. Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar o romance A bolsa amarela, de Lygia Bojunga Nunes. Obra representativa da literatura infantojuvenil brasileira, publicada em 1976, apresenta uma narrativa dinâmica focalizada na perspectiva da criança Raquel. A narrativa articula-se por meio das vontades da menina, que são o oposto de sua realidade. Os pares binários: criança-adulto, menina-menino e não escritora-escritora são as forças motrizes de seu processo narrativo. Segundo Vygotsky (1999), na articulação da obra literária há sempre sentimentos opostos crescendo na mesma proporção, que se desenvolvem até o ponto culminante, no qual se fundem, como em um curto-circuito atingindo o efeito estético da arte, a catarse.
