This work has the purpose of studying the case about a local multidisciplinary journal characterized by publishing articles already published in events and academic weeks. As the interest to publish increases more and more in the academic scope, in order to transmit results that enhance scientific career, the total number of articles published in the last five years was quantified, analyzing how many referenced to Chemistry and how many referenced to Education and, from these analysis, interpret, if the idea of increasing the number of publications over the years could be taken into account. The keywords found were demonstrated, in both subjects chosen. The variation of the branches of Chemistry and Education were observed and were also indicated the universities who had participated, through the intervention of the researchers in the journal publications. The results were a little different than the expected, from 2008 to 2009 , there was an increase on the total of numbers of publications, although, it was noticed a decrease from 2009 to 2010 and from 2011 to 2012, reflecting on the studied area. This study proved that publishing is important, once it’s from the study that the knowledge acquired is transmitted to others. Besides that, we should always recognize the local journal, since the journal has the function of communicating the results of the original research, which is transmitted by each article, contributing to the advance of knowledge through several specific disciplines. |
