This work aimed to estimate and compare the efficiency of the predictive control method DMC and the PID controller. Initially it was performed the theoretical basis of both methods, it consisting all the mathematical deduction necessary for an understanding of its design and implementation. After that, it was defined a hypothetical plant and simulations performed in closed loop for both controllers. Later with the intuited to prove the actual performance of the controllers, the implementation was carried out in closed loop, both controllers in a level of control bench. With the results, it performed a comparison and discussion of them. It can be seen that for the theoretical simulation as well as for the practical implementation, the DMC predictive control method presented better performance than the PID controller, especially when restriction and delay system was applied. |
