Resumo: Facing the growing demand for new sources of electricity, one of the alternatives with the greatest potential is the solar photovoltaic energy. Observing this reality, this paper aims to analyze the technical and economic feasibility of the implementation of a photovoltaic system in a determined consumer unit at low voltage. Therefore, a mesurement of both on-grid and off-grid systems have been made, in order to observe the competences of each type of system and, given the current situation in Brazil, feasibility for the implementation of these systems. The work presents, initially, the theoretical reference of the photovoltaic technology and perspectives of its development. Then, the main differences between on-grid and off-grid systems are presented, these systems being the configurations used in the proposed project. In addition, the area chosen for the allocation of photovoltaic panels was determined considering technical and economic aspects related to the existing structure. Finally, the paper presents a simplified analysis of the technical and economic feasibility of the proposed systems.
