Resumo: When developing new products, people's needs can bring opportunities to fill market gaps in an innovative way. In case of the beverages, for example, there are several options for cooling or heating, but they are mostly aimed at the period of storage or preparation, and not of maintaining the temperature in the period of consumption. From the observation of this gap, the aim of this work is to develop a device for temperature maintenance of hot or cold drinks, using Rozenfeld Reference Model. The product resulting from this work is a solution for maintaining hot and cold beverages during the period of consumption, and consists of a thermoelectric cup holder on which the user rests the container. The cup holder works on tables or counters and has buttons for triggering the heating or cooling functions and has proved to be distinct, viable and able to keep the beverage temperature closer to the service temperature.
