This study shows the importance of having a productivity gain without the need for large investments due to reduced setup. A study was carried out on historical data and through analyzes the wastes were identified during the setup and proposed solutions using the PDCA improvement cycle with the help of other quality tools. For greater precision in the analysis of the causes and analysis of the solutions because it is a setup, the tool Rapid Tool Exchange was used, which contributed to a greater efficiency in the identification of the causes of the problem and in the establishment of the solution. With the application of the improvement method the company obtained gains not only with the reduction of the setup, but also with an increase in the flexibility of production, increase the rate of utilization of the machines, decrease the error rate during setup and gains in terms of quality. Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar e propor soluções para a redução do setup em uma linha de produção de uma empresa de revestimento cerâmico catarinense que comercializam pisos e azulejos cerâmicos em mais de 50 países. Esse estudo mostra a importância em ter um ganho de produtividade sem a necessidade de grandes investimentos pela redução do setup. Realizou-se um estudo em dados históricos e por meio de analises foram identificados os desperdícios durante o setup e proposto soluções utilizando o ciclo de melhoria PDCA com auxílio de outras ferramentas da qualidade. Para maior precisão na análise das causas e análise das soluções por se tratar de setup, foi utilizado à ferramenta Troca rápida de Ferramenta que contribuiu para maior eficiência na identificação das causas do problema e no estabelecimento da solução.
