Resumo: This work investigates the use of adapted teaching materials as a teaching tool in a mixed class of listening students and a deaf student. Knowing the difficulty that students with special needs have in understanding some specific contents, as in the case of Sciences, we have tried to propose differentiated activities for the teaching of the Cardiovascular System. The proposal was carried out with students from the 8th year of elementary school at a regular school in the city of Ponta Grossa. An educational product was developed in the form of a didactic sequence, using didactic materials adapted with the Brazilian Language of Signals (LIBRAS), being configured as a teaching tool, in order to promote the interaction of the class when carrying out the activities. After the activities were carried out the students were evaluated through a questionnaire addressing the theme and contents that were worked in the room. Observations were also made throughout the work that allowed validating the proposal of use of the material produced and affirming that it can be considered potentially significant in the teaching of Sciences.
