The Cleaner Production (CP) is a tool aimed at the prevention of waste, with preventive approach applied to processes, products and services to reduce environmental impacts. Focuses on the efficient use of raw materials and natural resources, through the non-generation, minimization and recycling of waste and emissions generated. The aim of this study was to identify actions CP in food industries. To achieve the objectives were surveyed companies large representation in the area of food assessing key processes as the basic requirements of Cleaner Production. The methodological approach is classified as an exploratory study and data were collected by a questionnaire focusing on a structured interview. From the results obtained it can be seen that no company had CP implementation, however have several actions that generate the same significant benefits consistent with the practices proposed by CP program. |
