Through various researches in the literature related to facial expressions recognition, it was noticed the lack of web context applications, in other words, with an end-user interface running on a common web browser with access to webcam. This work proposes a solution using the internet to accomplish this task. The work will start with a literature review concerning emotions, pattern recognition and analysis of related works. After that will be studied development methodology. After performing the previous tasks will be developed system modules, as well as the definition of the training scheme of PCA (Principal Component Analysis) and image acquisition for such a task. With CAFE database and using the histogram equalization processing with the Sobel filter as defined in JavaCV library, obtained a joy emotion recognition rate of 100%. |
