Resumo: This study aims to demonstrate in a simplified way a low cost designed robot, in reduced scale for educational purposes, with the task of performing simple and repetitive movements of distinct materials at the end of a pallet handling process line. At industries or distribution centers there are many areas where implementing automated solutions can be justified, resulting in substantial gains, in order to both simplify and improve processes, performing simple and repetitive tasks that could otherwise contribute negatively to the health of human operators. The design consists of a robot controlled by a microcontroller based Arduino development platform with an Ethernet Shield, which interacts with a control and supervision system developed on Microsoft Visual C# platform. The project components communicates and interacts with each other via an Ethernet network using UDP and a self-developed protocol.
