Logistics is the great area that covers inventory management, which is very important for planning and controlling the accumulation of processed resources. Even in the face of this fact, some companies still suffer from the lack of organization of the goods in their warehouses, as the distributor under study. To solve this problem, it was proposed through a case study some actions of inventory management, identifying the existing problems and relating them to the bibliography, being able to detect the points that needed improvements and implementing them using some management tools, such as the Analysis ABC and 5S. The application of these management tools brought some immediate results such as the visual improvement of the site as well as the decrease of material separation time, also decreasing the delivery time. |
