The present scientific article, through a literature review process, investigated relations between architecture and art in order to gather evidence favorable to the initial hypothesis that architecture can be characterized as a support for art. By initially characterizing what space could be and how it relates to elements of architecture and the city, the article presents a new notion for the east, that of place. Thus, when analyzing some architectural works in relation to the objects of art that are in it, it tries to establish the relation of these elements with the notion of place. Finally brings works in the city of Curitiba to reflect on the possible function that architecture could have in relation to art. |
