This study aimed to perform a literature search on play in the lives of human beings and students’ lives in particular. The importance of play was noted in both the social and cultural evolution of mankind, in education in general and especially in children’s education. Some difficulties exist that may inhibit learning, just as there are some pre-requisites for achieving it. The need to train educators in the appropriate use of games in their educational activities was also recognized. Another objective was to determine how students evaluate their teachers’ didactic-pedagogic actions that employ educational games and their own performance in those situations. To that end, we had them fill out a questionnaire, and its results showed that the students are very conscious of the idea that with games they learn more easily. Therefore, games are useful tools for teachers. |
