The main objective of this project is to conduct a case study verifying the stress level and motivation among employees within a division of a sanitation company by applying a field survey (questionnaire). The theoretical basis for this case study relied on the concepts of stress and motivation detailed by Hans Seyle and Paul Hersey, respectively. Once the concepts of stress and motivation have been demonstrated, parallels can be drawn between the theory and the responses obtained from the field survey. Stress is common in the workplace, particularly in sanitation companies, reducing employee motivation. The presence of stress negatively impacts performance and professional efficiency, causing losses for the individual and the company; companies can seek ways of motivating their employees so that individual and group performance improves. Observed after this study through, analysis of questionnaires answered, that all contributors have symptoms related to stress. |
