The introduction of Generation Y in corporative environment has generated many changes in the area of people management, influencing and directing new forms of management on the part of leaders and co-workers, through numerous advantages, disadvantages and challenges. This study presents an analysis in order to propose a set of managerial competencies for manager of the Generation Y professionals in the job market. To achieve the objectives, we conducted a qualitative exploratory study using a questionnaire with professional managers who work with Y, in order to analyze the manager's capabilities to lead Generation Y professionals, identifying its main features. Resultant to this identification, it was the manager should know how to deal with the difficulties pertaining to the Y and enjoy and enjoy what these young people have to offer. |
