This study deals with the use of mobile technologies, especially tablets in the perception of teachers and 5th grade students belonging to four schools of Pato Branco – PR. This study aims to know the perception of teachers and 5th grade students involved in the process of inserting the educational tablet in the practice of teaching and learning in the classroom. The research has a quantitative approach, through the application of virtual questionnaire by Google Forms with closed questions for teachers and students, in order to verify if the educational tablet can be an innovative methodological tool, as well as to identify the contributions that it can offer in pedagogical practice. Teachers consider the educational tablet to be an innovative, dynamic, motivating, relevant tool for education that provides students with greater interest, develops skills and therefore contributes to learning.Everyone uses the tablet, even often. The biggest difficulty pointed out is the continuity of internet access provided by the Federal Government’s Connected Education Program. Although most teachers state that they had training, it is important to highlight the need for continuous training of these. Students received the tablet and make use of it to access the internet, take pictures, film, produce texts, drawings, simulations, reading, tables, graphics, and, mainly, are attracted by educational games. The main difficulties they point out are regarding handling and short time to use the equipment. Students said teachers could better explore some game applications, productions, creation and the internet. The vast majority of them reported that using the tablet in class contributes to their school performance. Nowadays the internet is an indispensable resource in people’s lives, including at school. Thus, it is essential that there are public policies that meet this demand and prioritize education. In short, digital mobile technologies have contributed to teacher practice and student performance. In this bias, wellintentioned tablets can motivate and streamline classes through innovative practices and disruption of paradigms. |
